Precision Potentiometers

Our potentiometers are wire wound potentiometers with high accuracy (linearity up to ± 0,05 %), high reliability and a long rotational life.
They are used in a wide range of industrial applications and in railway applications.
Each potentiometer is supplied at the required ohmic value in the range of feasible values.
Multiple-units potentiometers are achieved by combining several units.

Description

These wire-wound potentiometers are constructed with:

  • high-accuracy, low-temperature coefficient windings
  • a modular housing of light alloy supporting a stainless steel shaft with 2 precision roller bearings (except for the "Economy" class)
  • critical parts (slider, slip ring) made in precious metal alloys
  • a specific wiper technology with a double triangular arm, and redundant internal connections on some models for maximum reliability
  • numerous options: special variation laws, electrical and/or mechanical travel, intermediary taps, terminal wires, shaft design, housing, etc.

Series and models

Standard models

Three different sizes provide three levels of power rating: size 08 (1 watt), size 15 (3 watts), size 18 (6 watts).
The four classes differ in the accuracy level and the ability to withstand environmental conditions:

"PRECISION" Class
linearity ± 0.1% to ± 0.05%
- 55 to + 155 °C
"HEAVY INDUSTRY" Class
linearity ± 0.5% to ± 0.1%
- 25 to + 125 °C
"LIGHT INDUSTRY" Class
linearity ± 0.5%
- 10 to + 85 °C
"ECONOMY" Class
linearity ± 1%
- 10 to + 85 °C
